CMHC announces housing awards
Deadline for entries is April 5th

Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) is seeking submissions for its 2006 Housing Awards Program. The program was established in 1988 to recognize significant contributions to the advancement of Canadian housing. The awards are presented every two years.

The theme for the 2006 awards program is "Best Practices in Affordable Housing". Up to 16 winners will be selected and recognized by CMHC at an event in Ottawa this November. The deadline for entries is April 5th 2006.

To be considered for a 2006 CMHC Housing Award, initiatives must address housing affordability in Canada, have been successfully demonstrated in at least one existing practical application, and have been completed or implemented between January 1st 2000 and January 1st 2006. Housing projects initiated by CMHC are not eligible.
