Quality Assurance Performance Test Analyst (one-year contract)

Ensures that the CREA services and applications continue meeting the highest performance standards.

  • Work closely with development and operations teams to design and maintain the performance testing framework for CREA products
  • Be a performance expert in the Quality Assurance team, who understands how the features should work in various loads and scale situations and the impact on the rest of the system.
  • Design performance tests, execute these tests and identify the bottlenecks
  • Participate in defining short term and long-term performance testing strategies for multi-products
  • Interact with team members and other groups to troubleshoot and resolve quality defects and issues identified during the testing process and post-release of the product.
  • Work with the development team to ensure all performance requirements have been tested, defects have been identified and documented, impacts have been assessed, and resolutions provided
  • Work with the development and operations teams to define horizontal and vertical performance tests that scale
  • Be able to provide clear and concise performance test reports using graphical and statistical data of application and server performance metrics
  • Provide performance testing training to Quality Assurance and other teams

Required Technical Skills:

  • 5+ years’ experience working in Software Quality Assurance field with hands-on skill in Agile methodologies
  • 3+ years working experience building performance testing frameworks and implementing performance/load and other non-functional tests
  • Experience working with performance/load testing tools such as Jmeter, LoadRunner, NeoLoad, etc. and automating performance scripts
  • Working experience planning and configuring test environments for performance/load testing on-prem and on cloud
  • Extensive experience executing performance and other non-functional tests
  • Excellent knowledge of performance testing metrics
  • Solid understanding and working experience in manual and automated testing of RESTful webservices using Postman or any other tools
  • Proven relational database knowledge and experience – able to understand, create and execute database SQL queries (from simple to complex)
  • Able to understand programming languages (Java, C#, HTML, XML, SQL, JavaScript, .Net)
  • Understanding of data warehouse/business intelligence concepts, and architectural components – an asset
  • Experience with web application development – an asset
  • Experience with source control tools, preferably git and Azure DevOps – an asset

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Computer Science or related field
  • SQL certification – an asset
  • ISTQB, ITIL, or any other Quality Assurance/Programming Certification – an asset
