PAC Days

Our Political Action Committee (PAC) Days conference is the culmination of our government relations efforts.

A Force on Parliament Hill for 40 Years

Since 1985, CREA’s annual PAC Days conference in Ottawa has brought REALTORS® from across Canada to our nation’s capital to meet with their local Members of Parliament (MPs) and advocate for policies that encourage access to housing for all Canadians, from emergency shelter to subsidized housing to social housing and homeownership.

Highlights from PAC Days 2025

From October 26–28, 2025, more than 400 PAC Reps from across Canada came together in the nation’s capital to celebrate 40 years of REALTOR® advocacy. This year, PAC Reps met with a record number of MPs, where they shared our latest solutions to address Canada’s housing crisis, including: leveraging all federal levers to unlock housing supply and dedicating a modest share of Build Canada Homes (BCH) projects to market-based “missing middle” housing.

Inspiring Speakers and Informative Panels

In celebration of our 40th anniversary, PAC Reps welcomed a central figure in the establishment of PAC Days, Pierre Beauchamp, former CREA CEO. Other notable speakers included Christina Smith, Mayor of Westmount, who explained municipalities’ critical role in creating thriving housing environments, and David Coletto, CEO and Founder of Abacus Data, who unveiled new research on Canadians’ views of their housing situation. As well as conference favourites including the PAC Days media panel featuring Chantal Hébert, Susan Delacourt and Rob Russo.

Keynote Presenters

The Honourable Gregor Roberston, Minister of Housing, Infrastructure, and Communities, spoke directly to PAC Reps about Canada’s outlined his government’s actions to address housing and infrastructure priorities across Canada. Arlene Dickinson, entrepreneur, investor and personality on CBC’s Dragon Den, shared stories from her career, reflecting on what it means to be Canadian—and why our values are worth protecting. For some comedia relief, Rick Mercer share is signature, political satire which energized the room with insights and tales from coast-to-coast-to-coast.

Keeping the Momentum

For years, the REALTOR® association community has been advocating for policies that encourage access to housing for all Canadians. From emergency shelter and community housing to rental accommodations and homeownership, REALTORS® continue to advocate for innovative solutions to increase housing supply across the housing continuum, address current housing challenges, and allow everyone to have safe, stable, and affordable housing options. PAC Days 2025 provided another opportunity for PAC Reps to highlight our REALTOR® Recommendations that, when combined with thoughtful and integrated planning, have great potential to address the national housing crisis.
