At CREA, we are guided by our social purpose: opening doors to thriving futures for all, beginning with home.

Through activating our purpose, we aim to deliver greater value to our members, enhance our relevance, and help strengthen communities.

Our social purpose statement is built upon four fundamental beliefs:

We believe housing is a human right.

All people should have equitable access to safe and affordable housing options that meet their needs, regardless of financial circumstances.

We believe home fosters human dignity and belonging.

The feeling of home is important to people on a deep level.

We believe a healthy environment is critical to a thriving future.

This serves to highlight the importance of doing what we can to protect the environment and mitigate climate change so that our homes and communities are as safe, healthy and resilient as possible.

We believe collaboration is the key to unlocking positive change.

We need to work closely with like-minded partners to help move the needle on the big social and environmental challenges of today and tomorrow.

Developed in 2023 through extensive consultation with REALTORS®, board and association staff, and external stakeholders, our social purpose reflects the intersection of what the world needs and what our association and members bring to the table.

Now embedded into our 2026-2028 strategic plan, our purpose will guide our decisions, inspire our work, and shape how we create positive change together for years to come.
