Help Us Raise Funds for Those Affected by the Tragic Events at the Vancouver Lapu-Lapu Festival

The Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA) has launched a fundraising campaign in support of the Canadian Red Cross’ 2025 Vancouver Lapu-Lapu Festival Appeal.

On April 26, a tragic incident at the Lapu-Lapu Festival in Vancouver, British Columbia, claimed the lives of 11 people and left multiple others injured. Among those lost was Richard Le, a REALTOR® in Vancouver, along with his wife and young daughter, leaving behind a teenage son, Andy. CREA extends its deepest condolences to the family and loved ones of Le, and to all those affected by this heartbreaking incident.

We’re encouraging the REALTOR® community to consider making tax-receiptable donations to support those affected, using our REALTORS Care® fundraising page. Donations will help support those impacted with immediate and ongoing relief, including the recovery and resiliency of the communities and families devastated by this tragic event.

The REALTOR® community has a history of coming together and answering the call when disasters strike. Since 2010, the REALTOR® community has raised more than $2 million together via the Canadian Red Cross. More details about our disaster response history and process can be found on the REALTORS Care® website.

As always, we would appreciate your help spreading the word about our current campaign to encourage donations and amplify our message that REALTORS® in Canada are here to help in times of need.

Please visit our REALTORS Care® Facebook, X, and Instagram accounts to find content you can easily share with your social networks.
