Looking for a way to stand out amongst the crowd? Earn your Certified International Property Specialist (CIPS) Designation in 2026.
The National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) developed the CIPS designation to provide the education, resources and network to do just that, and the Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA) is proud to offer the designation courses here in Canada.
CIPS courses support all REALTORS®, new and experienced, who are interested in learning how real estate is transacted globally and gain insights on cultural differences that can impact a client’s real estate journey.
CIPS designation requirements
- Successful completion of two CIPS core courses.
- Completion of three regional elective courses.
- Upon completion of the courses, submit your CIPS application for Canada to cips@nar.realtor.
- Submit a one-time Designation Fee of $75 USD and pay annual dues.

Who you’ll be learning with
For these upcoming course offerings, you will be learning alongside international professionals from Texas REALTORS® and Asociación Mexicana de Profesionales Inmobiliarios (AMPI), Mexico’s real estate association. All courses will be led by instructors based in Texas.
