David Brown

David Brown brings more than 23 years of experience as a licensed REALTOR® to his role on the Board of Directors of the Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA). Based in Calgary, Alberta, David served as the broker/owner of a successful independent brokerage from 2008 to 2022, leading a team of more than 200 REALTORS® with a focus on professionalism, mentorship, and collaboration.

David has a long-standing commitment to the REALTOR® community, with an extensive governance background at the local, provincial, and national levels. He served on the Calgary Real Estate Board (CREB®) for six years, including as President in 2017, and was on the Alberta Real Estate Association (AREA) Board for five years, serving as Chair in both 2022 and 2023. He has also contributed to CREA through his work on several national committees, including the Advertising Campaign Committee and the Audit and Risk Management Committee.

Known for his steady leadership, thoughtful approach, and strong advocacy for REALTORS® and boards across Canada, David is committed to fostering transparency, collaboration, and innovation within CREA’s governance structure. He believes in being a strong voice for the membership and a trusted partner to boards and associations nationwide.
