Help Us Raise Funds for Those Affected by the Flooding in Manitoba and Ottawa, Ontario
The Canadian Real Estate Association (CREA) has launched a fundraising campaign in support of the Canadian Red Cross’ 2026 Manitoba Floods Appeal and Ottawa Floods Appeal.
Forty-five municipalities and six First Nations in Manitoba have declared states of emergency as severe flooding and powerful storms cause widespread damage. Hundreds of homes and residents have been affected, while washed-out roads and damaged infrastructure continue to disrupt communities.
In Ottawa, thousands of homes were affected by record-breaking rainfall on Canada Day, leaving residents facing extensive flooding, cleanup, and repairs.
We’re encouraging the REALTOR® community to consider making tax-eligible donations to support those affected, using our REALTORS Care® fundraising pages.
Donations will help support those impacted through immediate and ongoing relief, recovery and resilience efforts. Funds will also support community preparedness, risk reduction, and the mobilization of response and community partners.
The REALTOR® community has a history of coming together and answering the call when disasters strike. Since 2010, the REALTOR® community has raised more than $2.6 million together via the Canadian Red Cross.
Please note: We may issue an additional notice in the coming days if the Canadian Red Cross launches a fundraising appeal in support of communities affected by the Northern Ontario wildfires.
